I am pleased that Mary Beth asked me to serve as Chair of the Nominating Committee for Division
officers for 2008-09.  I am even more pleased that Dottie Everly and Debbie Hooper volunteered to serve with me …..thanks to both of you.
 
For your ease of reference, excerpts from the Kentucky Division Bylaws and Procedures pertaining to nomination and election of Kentucky Division officers  (ARTICLE III. Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and ARTICLE V. Section 2.C.) are attached (Excerpts from KY Division Bylaws).  Your attention is directed particularly to these provisions:
 
    1.    Any member of the Kentucky Division may propose a candidate for Division office.
 
    2.    The nomination must be accompanied by a written resume of the candidate’s qualifications (as set
          forth in ARTICLE III, Section 2) and the proposed candidate’s consent.
 
    3.   The nomination must be submitted to the Nominating Committee, postmarked by March 1, 2009.

The Kentucky Division has always been known for having outstanding officers and I am sure that the ensuing year will be no exception.  Dottie, Debbie and I look forward to receiving your nominations.
 
In the meantime, have a wonderful fall season, a bountiful Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
